Building Analyst/Energy Auditor Certification
Albany Park Community Center and Korean American Community Services are launching a new job training and placement program through the State of Illinois Urban Weatherization Initiative. We are actively recruiting participants for this program and expect to begin training in August.
In this four-week training program participants will receive classroom and field instruction preparing them for the Building Analyst/Energy Auditor Certification Exam. Upon their satisfactory completion of the program and the exam, each training participant will receive a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Accredited Certification as a Building Analyst/Energy Auditor. The Certified BPI Building Analyst will be fully qualified to perform home weatherization and energy auditor assessments as an entrepreneur or employee of a home weatherization contractor.
Applicants should have some or all the following qualifications:
•Former or current property inspectors
•Building trades backgrounds
•Veterans with technical backgrounds
•Above average math skills
•Utility company experience
Highly motivated self-starters
Credentials:
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be certified Building Analysts/Energy Auditors, and will receive job readiness and placement assistance from qualified employment specialists.
