Announcing the Mr. and Mrs. Sei Won Kim Scholarship Endowment Fund 2011
KACS is pleased to announce that this year we are inviting qualified candidates to apply for the Mr. and Mrs. Kim Scholarship of $1,000.
The due date for scholarship application is May 16, 2011. Please pass the information along to anyone you think would benefit. See below for details!
The Scholarship Fund was established in honor of two long-time residents in Chicago, Mr. Sei Won Kim and Mrs. Ae Nyou Choi, by the family. The first recipient of the scholarship was awarded in June 2005 at the annual meeting of KACS.
We are primarily looking for a promising Korean American who is preparing for a career in social work, human services, public health or related fields. Candidates who can be categorized as 1.5 generation or preferably second generation Korean Americans with the spirit to serve the Korean American community are most encouraged to apply.
KACS is committed to identifying and nurturing potential leaders in social services field. We are delighted to have a scholarship program that is aimed at preparing the Korean American human service professionals for future challenges.
