Korean American Community Services (KACS) is celebrating its 44th year of service
to the community in 2016. We invite you to join us by supporting our
Anniversary Benefit Gala, Be The Change,
on Friday, June 10th 2015 at Mission Hills Country Club in Northbrook,
Illinois. KACS is honored to have Peter Sung Ohr, JD, MBA, as our keynote
speaker. Mr. Ohr is the Regional Director of the National Labor Relations Board
and a key figure for social change in the community. We are excited to hear what Mr. Ohr has to
say about individual transformation. As we
celebrate 44 years of accomplishments, we hope that you will support what
promises to be another festive and elegant event by pledging sponsorship at the
highest possible level. If sponsorship is not feasible at this time, consider
placing an advertisement in our program book, making an in-kind donation for
our raffle &silent auction, and being a gala attendee. For maximum

In order to continue providing those services to our community, we decided to introduce service fees for the services we have been providing free. In this difficult time, we also would like to ask your continuous support and encouragement as we advocate reinstating many needed services for our community. Thank you for being with us, always.
여러분께서 이미 아시는 바와 같이, 이번 주지사의 예산안에는 이민자 가정을 위한 많은 서비스의 지원이 감축되거나 완전히 중단되어있습니다. 한인사회복지회는 그동안 지역 상하원 의원들에게 공공 보조 혜택 신청 대행, 시민권 서비스, 그리고 컴퓨터 클래스 등, 이민자에게 필수적이고 중요한 서비스들에 대한 계속적인 지원을 요청해온 바 있습니다. 이러한 상황 속에서 한인사회복지회는 저희들의 프로그램을 지키고, 여러분에게 꼭 필요한 서비스들을 계속 제공하기 위해 그동안 무료로 제공해왔던 서비스에 대한 비용을 책정하기로 결정했습니다. 어려운 상황 속에서, 저희는 여러분께 지역 사회에 필요한 서비스를 제공하고자하는 저희 노력을 앞으로도 계속 지원해주시기를 부탁드립니다. 한인사회복지회와 함께 해주셔서 항상 고맙습니다. . 05 2016-May Events Work In Illinois (Apr 21)Developer: KACS Views: 2332 Want to work for the State of Illinois? 일리노이 주는 시카고 한인회, 한인교육문화마당집, 한인사회복지회와 함께 주정부 공무원직에 아시안아메리칸의 고용을 늘리고 지원을 돕기 위한 지원 과정 설명회를 개최합니다. 주정부 중앙 인사관리국 (Central Management System)은 4월 21일, 저녁 6시 30분에 한인사회복지회의 시카고 본관 (4300 N. California Ave.)에서 주정부 지원을 위해 거쳐가야하는 과정과, 고용을 하는 부서, 지원 자격, 시험을 보는 장소, 구인 공고 읽는 법, 퇴역군인, 장애자 우대등의 내용을 다루는 설명회를 열 예정입니다. 이 설명회는 일반을 대상으로 무료로 제공되며, 참석을 위해서는 사전 등록이 필요합니다. 더 많은 정보를 얻기 위해서는 한인사회복지회로 전화 (773-583-5501)해주시기 바랍니다. 05 2016-May Events Ecuador relief (Apr 21-29)Developer: KACS Views: 3472 에콰도르에서 최근 큰 지진이 발생하여 많은 이재민이 생겼습니다. 한인사회복지회에서는 에콰도르 시키고 총영사관과 협조 하에 구호품을 받아 전달하기로 하였습니다. 시카고 지역에서는 뎁 멜 시의원 사무실과 노스이스트 대학, 그리고 한인사회복지회에서 구호품을 기부받고 있습니다. 세계는 이제 우리의 이웃이 되어가고 있습니다. 에콰도르 국민들이 시카고 한인들의 사랑을 기다리고 있습니다. As Ecuador recently had a devastating earthquake, KACS has agreed to serve as one of service centers to collect and store the imperishable food and other needed items on the 2nd floor auditorium. This year, we have a fundraising goal of $75,000, so we are turning to you, our supporters, for help. As we celebrate over 43 years of accomplishments, we hope that you will support what promises to be another festive and elegant event by pledging sponsorship at the highest possible level. Events begin at 6:30 at the beautiful Mission Hills Country Club in Northbrook with a cocktail reception and silent auction. Funds and donations raised through this event will be used to continue providing critical services to the 11,000 clients we assist each year.
